High School Readiness Expression of Interest

What is High School Readiness?

High School readiness aims to help students prepare for entering high school. We will explore:
- The difference between primary school and high school
- Engaging with peers and making friends
- Understanding timetables
- Why you have so many different teachers
- Exploring different school maps and how to use them
- Planning for homework/making timetables to do everything you need to do at home
- Provide a safe space to discuss concerns, share ideas and build confidence

The Details

Who: 2025 Grade 6 students with Anxiety and Friendship difficulties going into High School in 2026
What: 6 x 60 minute sessions (5 sessions held in November / December 2025 and 1 in January 2026 before school starts)
When: Thursday Afternoons 4pm-5pm
Dates: 12/11, 19/11, 26/11, 03/12, 10/12 & 21/1/2026
Where: Futures In Mind, 20 Langmore Lane, Berwick
Facilitated by: Psychologist, Amelia Langa
Cost: $960 for all 6 sessions. (To be paid prior to commencement of group)
