Friendships Group Expression of Interest

What is the Friendships Group?

The Friendships Group aims to support children in their social interactions with their peers using an interactive and play-based approach.

Each session will include group games and activities that provide opportunities for collaboration, connection, negotiation, problem solving, and teamwork. Throughout the group we will also support children to express their wants and needs, regulate their emotions and their individual sensory preferences.

Group activities may include
- cooking
- arts and crafts
- board games
- teamwork games/activities

The Details

Facilitated by: Lorna Smylie and Amelia Langa
Who: The Friendships Group is ideal for children in grades 4-6 (ages 9-12)
What: 4 x 60 minute sessions fortnightly
When: Thursday 4PM-5PM,
Where: Futures In Mind, 20 Langmore Lane, Berwick
Cost: $600 for the term
